    Key responsibilities:

    • Generate 3D CAD models, detailed and assembly drawings of new and existing design concepts using SolidWorks.
    • Work closely with the engineering and product development teams to translate concepts and ideas into precise technical drawings.
    • Perform dimensioning and tolerance analysis/evaluations of component and assembly drawings.
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including parts lists, prototype assemblies, prototype build instructions, presentations (pictures and/or video) and patent drawings.
    • Ensure all designs comply with engineering standards and manufacturing capabilities.

    What we are looking for:

    • Associate degree or certification in Mechanical design/drafting required.
    • A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field is a plus.
    • Minimum of 5 years of industry experience in CAD drafting, a plus on medical device environment.
    • Certified and proficiency in SolidWorks 2016 or latest versions is essential.
    • Strong background in catheter design and exposure to various manufacturing injection molding techniques is a plus.
    • Solid understanding of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
    • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in CAD work.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
    • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work within a multidisciplinary team.
    • Ability to work on multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Knowledge of ASME Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing standards.
    • Demonstrated capability using engineering measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers.
    • Knowledge in variety of machining/manufacturing process and designing for manufacturability (i.e. plastic molding, extrusions, CNC machining, Laser machining, Laser welding).
    • Knowledge of Medical device Document Control preferred.
